Double-Portrait Daguerreotype Leather Case with Woman and Man Daguerreotypes Circa 1860.
Full leather embossed case (3.75 x 3.5 inches) with ornate metal clasp, gilt on spine, silver metal engraved plaque on front and gilt on edges. Interior has finely tooled dentelle inside edges of front and back boards with red velvet embossed pillows front and back. Cased images fully sealed with brass mat and preserver. Photos are lightly hand tinted. Case and photos are in very good condition.
