Blue cloth decorated in black on the spine; illustrated with black and white plates. Light wear on the corners of the dustjacket with a short tear on the upper left of the rear panel; darkened around the edges and on the spine; aside from the author's inscription, no interior markings. The Doukhobors are a Christian group that originated in Russia. Over seven thousand of them left Russia for Canada around 1900 to pursue religious freedom.
