London: Constable and Co, 1922. 1st. hardback. Very good, signed limited 1st edition (numbered 90 / 325). Vellum boards (good but some scuffs and markings), gilt impressed cover design and spine titling bright; text block firm, untrimmed, high-quality pages, bright and unmarked (top-edge gilt); 3 full-colour plates and numerous letterpress prints throughout; both endpapers sunned. Apparently unread.. 8vo (230 x 150 / 9"" x 6""). Limited and signed first edition of de la Mare's children's anthology of fairy poems, illustrated by the American artist Dorothy P. Lathrop (this was the second of six de la Mare books she would go on to illustrate during the following two decades). A numbered limited edition in vellum.
