Philadelphia, Pa: Dr. D. Jayne & Son, 1913. Paperback. Acceptable. 4 issues (1913-15-16-17) of Jayne's medical almanac, claiming to the the 70th-74th year of publication. Chipped wraps as issued, some pages and wraps loose. These are not in good condition, but are a period piece and cultural testament of the patent medicine era. 1917 issue is in Norwegian, titled "sundheds veiviser" (health wizard). Dr. David Jaynes was indeed a patent medicine "wizard", descended from a line of clergymen, he created the manufacturing entity - Dr. Jayne's Family Medicines in Philadelphia, PA (US) in the 1820s initially in New Jersey & in the 1850s in Philadelphia. Dr. Jayne's Expectorant contained: Ipecac, opium, and digitalis were evidently the staple ingredients of his tonics.
