About This Item
NY: Scribners; (1933). First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. First edition ("A" on copyright page), very good in a very good dust jacket. Dampstain evident at the bottom third or so of both boards, and on the inner (unprinted) side of the jacket. Store stamp on half title page, a few small letters in ink on the title page. The jacket has small chips at spine ends. The red color on the jacket is very bright, and the book is tight and square, with no real evidence of the dampstain without removing the jacket. Has map endpapers and six pages of ads for other Philo Vance novels at rear; $2.00 price on jacket flap is present.
