Notes. xxxii, 298, 284 pp. Two volumes in Fine binding signed Matthews, (William Matthews (1822-1896), the most prominent American bookbinder at that time) of full polished calf, the backs with red and green morocco labels lettered in gilt and with intricate gilt tooled decorations, ornate inner gilt dentelles, marbled end papers, the top edges gilt. Near Fine, scant small rubs, front cover Vol.I a bit toned. A quite lovely set of an uncommon title. Library of Old Authors. . First Edition. Full Polished Calf. Near Fine/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
