London: R. H. Russell, New York; Lawrence & Bullon, 1897. Illustrated by 61 full page plates. First edition. Rear board acid free J. Hewit brown cloth, 1/3 J. Hewit acid free black Cawburn goat backing, acid free complimentary colors marbled endpapers. Oblong folio. pp. [vi], 61 plates unpaginated. Very Good+/No jacket, as issued/As New. Full restoration of topboard illustration with Japanese tissue and water mark removal, page repairs. Neschen P-90 joint reinforcement to each plate and entire text block restitched. What was once a classic too big for it's binding book is now viewable and opens flat. Owen Wister introduction, Howes R-205, Book inserts vertically into a brown cloth with cawburn goat slipcase then a J.Hewit black skiver top gilt stamped on both sides: Remington Drawings matches front of book, and Remington to rear. One of a Kind Masterpiece restoration and slipcase done inhouse by Karen Thompson Bullock..
