An uncommon Gollancz edition of the sequel to 'A Road to Corlay', smart and complete with a yellow dust wrapper. Set in 3019, Britain has become seven Kingdoms as a result of rising sea levels, technology is primitive and the Church rules. This work follows musically-gifted Tom as he is pitted between the Church and the Kinsfolk. Following on from the short story 'Piper at the Gates of Dawn' and 'The Road to Corlay', this work was followed by 'A Tapestry of Time' to complete the White Bird of Kinship series.Written by John Middleton Murry (1926-2002), an English writer who published under the pseudonyms Colin Murry and Richard Cowper.Complete in a yellow Gollancz dust wrapper, which is unclipped.Containing a map of the seven Kingdoms.A smart first edition. In the publisher's original full cloth binding with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally generally smart, with just a touch of slight wear to the head and tail of the spine. Dust wrapper is in excellent condition, with a little minor wear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Near Fine
