About This Item

Cologne: Edition Fundamental, 1986. First printing. Hardcover. Very Good. (36) pp., square 8vo. Edition of 70 copies, numbered and signed by the designer/printer K. Richard Müller, and handbound in cloth by Siegfried Köhler. A translation of Reinhardt's "Thirteen Rules toward a Code of Ethics for Fine Artists," printed letterpress in a striking three-color design echoed on the front cover. Though this is admittedly an ex-library copy, it is much less flawed than typically the case: an abrasion to the top outer corner of the front flyleaf, a library stamp to the bottom of the colophon page, a small, discreet address label on the inside bottom corner of the rear pastedown, and some rubbing to extremities of the cloth. Nonetheless a very good copy of a scarce early book from the press, priced to reflect the imperfections.
