BOSTON: Lothrop Publishing Company, 1901. First Edition 1st Printing. Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. Yohn, F. C.. First Printing 1901. A near fine copy in red cloth and gilt lettering on decorations to front board and spine. This copy came from the personal collection of a well known collector--M. B. Goldstone--whose brother was also connected with Steinbeck (his biographer/bibliographer). This copy is signed in pencil by Goldstone on the front free endpaper with his annotation for a first edition. Red cloth with gilt top edge and uncut fore edge. A tight and square copy that is lightly tattered at the heel of the spine and has light edgewear. From a recent auction of late 19th and early 20th fiction.
