Blue cloth with title in silver on front cover. Condition: Very good, with just a hint of shelfwear to covers. Previous owners name at top of title page. Binding sound. Dustjacket condition: Good, with a couple of small repaired tears, general shelfwear and a small chip missing to base of front cover of jacket. 272pp. Many b/w and occasional colour illustrations. This book was published to accompany the exhibition held at the Amsterdams Historisch Museum from 17 June to 28 August 1977 which then toured to the Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto from September 27 to November 13, 1977. The exhibition aimed to provide insight into the development of the cityscape of the Northern Netherlands during the 17th century, through the medium of paintings, drawings, maps, books and prints..
