Presentation copy of Jack London's Dutch Courage and Other Stories, with an inscription from his second wife, Charmian London.. Octavo, 191pp, [16pp ads]. Red linen-textured cloth, double-ruled border in black on front cover, title in black on spine. No additional printings listed on copyright page. Slight lean to text block, lightly bumped corners, dust remnants to top edge. Faint toning to rear endpaper. In the publisher's dust jacket, 3/6 net price on spine, chipping along edges and corners. Creases along joints and front panel. Lightly soiled. Tape repairs to verso. Inscribed and signed by Charmian London on the front free endpaper to a family member for Christmas. Inscription by Charmian London: "Dear Aunt Emma! Because our Jack isn't here to write in this, as he would so love to do, we'll just do the best we can, won't we - knowing he would be happy to see us together. Charmian London, 1925 - Xmas."
