Privately printed, presumably as a token to guests of private theatricals. Countess Frances Waldegrave was a well known society leader and hostess who enjoyed private theatricals which she often held at her husband's estate at Nuneham. This play, was translated, adapted and privately printed by Richard Monckton Milnes, an English poet, patron and politician best known for his biography of John Keats. Condition: In original pale pink wrappers. Externally, smart though faded. Some light spots. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Overall: NEAR FINE.
