About This Item
College Station, Texas: Texas A & M University Press, 1985. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Fine/Fine. Signed on the title page by both authors and dated by Paul Lambert; not personalized to anyone. Volume itself has black cloth covers with gold lettering on the spine; the gold lettering for the title is on top of a red overlay. Dust jacket is protected in an archival quality cover. 243 pages. Franks and Lambert do an exceptional job of presenting oil history with an array of historic photos. This is number four of the Montague History of Oil Series. Frontispiece is a photo of the Lakeview gusher at North Midway Field. The well is flowing 90,000 barrels per day and shown in mirror-effect across a large temporary lake of oil. A very nice signed copy.
