London: The Waverley Book Company, 1922. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Poor/No Jacket. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Two volume set, in original dark blue leather bindings with gilt titles. Both front and back boards of Volume I are detached (but present), trhe back bord of Volume II is also detached. Top layer of leather severely worn along spine and raised band edges. The pages are generally smooth and clean. The first gathering of pages to volume I which included the title page, frontispiece and tissue guard is detached but present, thereafter the text block is in one piece. The text block is firm to Volume II, and pages here also smooth and clean. Both volumes abundantly illustrated with photographic plates and illustrations. May incur additional postage charges overseas.
