About This Item

Columbia, South Carolina: Bostick & Thornley, Inc, 1941. 111 pages. Clean and tight. "This is no ordinary book. It records, for the first time, in scholarly and sympathetic words, and in a series of skilful and beautiful pencil drawings, the early history of the unique wrought iron of Charleston, a form oof art which few have hitherto been able properly to evaluate and understand." Top corner of rear board is lightly bumped, as ar the head and foot of spine. Top and Bottom edges of boards show very slight foxing. Edges of textblock have some foxing. Dj is browned around the edges and spine with chips from corners and head and foot of spine. 2 small closed tears on rear of Dj. Much nicer than it sounds!. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Good +. Illus. by Richard J. Bryan. Folio - over 12" - 15" tall.
