Inscribed by author, "To Guido Bruno with the very best reagrds of the Author" in brown ink on first free page, 1913 First Edition, 164 pages of text plus reproductions of Payne's writing published in The Thespian Mirror, 1805 and 1806, Book is called Good because of soiling on boards and spine, interior is near Fine and complete. Two toned linen tan boards with white spine, bright gilt titles to spine, leather corners show wear, quality paper with untrimmed edges, folding 1841 facsimile letter present, very nice frontispiece portrait of Payne with tissue guard 1791-1852. Binding and hinges are solid bargain priced copy. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
