68-76 pages with photographs, illustrations, maps and figures. Quarto (11 1.2" x 8 1/4") unbound loose pages from volume 213, number 4. First edition. The peculiar and abundant sea life of the Peruvian coast affected the way of life there from the time of the first nomadic campers 9000 years ago to that of the predecessors of the Incas. Condition: Age toning to pages which are loose else very good.
