Boards have light shelf-wear present to the extremities. No ownership marks present. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. Early Poems And Stories by William Butler Yeats (1865-1939) published 1925 contains a collection of poems and stories from the late 1880s and early 1890s. During this period Yeats was a young struggling poet impressed by the tales and myths of the Celtic past. Early Poems And Stories is divided into a number of sections including The Wanderings Of Usheen, Crossways, The Rose, The Celtic Twilight, The Secret Rose, Stories Of Red Hanrahan and Rose Alcemica. The Macmillan Company, New York, 1925. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. Green cloth with blind stamped front pane and gilt stamped spine lettering. The volume is bumped and frayed on the spine ends, and has spots of soiling on the front panel. The name of K C Balderston is inked to the front endpaper, bookplates are affixed to both pastedowns, and there is a small bookseller's label on the front endpaper. The binding is still firm and the pages have acquired a gentle toning.
