This edited work covers the following taxa: Agama caucasia, Rana lessonae, Alsophylax laevis, Lacerta unisexualis, Rana arvalis, Pelobates fuscus, Lacerta agilis, Anguis fragilis, and Onychodactylus fischeri. It also discusses the late Cretaceous turtles of Asia. The text is in Russian with abstracts in English for most contributions; there is also a second title page in English. From research library of herpetologist Hobart M. Smith with his signature on the front wrapper.
