Editor's signed presentation bookplate mounted to front free endpaper. 8vo; original blue boards, lettered in gilt on spine; dustwrapper; pp. viii + 107; tables. Dustwrapper somewhat edgeworn and soiled; trace of soiling to fore-edge of upper board; a little spotting to edges, endpapers and outermost leaves. Good condition. At the time of this book's publication, the Transkei homeland was looked upon in apartheid South Africa as a model of the Bantustan system. Subjects covered: The Economics of Developing Countries with special reference to the Transkei; External Assistance to the Public Sector; Education and Economic Development; Agriculture's Contribution to the Economic Development of the Transkei; Employment Opportunities for Graduates offered by the Transkei; Financial and Capital Aid to the Private Sector with special Reference to the Xhosa Development Corporation; Future Prospects with regard to the Economic Development of the Transkei. .
