"A conference of Soviet economists and other Marxists was held in November 1951, to consider a preliminary draft of a textbook on political economy. His comments dated February 1, 1952, and henceforth referred to by the author as 'Remarks,' are reproduced as Part I of this book. Part II consists of the author's individual replies to several participants in the discussion are dated, respectively, April 21, May 22, and September 28, 1952."
