About This Item

London,, 1803. Binding somewhat rubbed with spine little chipped and faded and front board detached. Early gift inscription to front blank and small numerical inscription on title page. Otherwise very good, clean example. [4], iv, 124pp. Small 8vo. Portrait frontispiece of the author; 32 woodcuts in the text by Austin and Hole after Craig. For this printing the pretence 'of an Oriental Original, under which title it was at first ushered into the world' has been dropped. Pencilled ownership signature of Roger Senhouse together with a few bibliographical notes, not easy to read. Original full calf, gilt.
