About This Item
Scranton, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.: William Morrow & Co, 2002. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good+. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. In 1939, a young girl arrives on a remote Puget Sound island and enters the eccentric world of the all-girl Temple School. First printing with correct full number line sequence. This is a clean, apparently unread copy with no writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. No remainder marks. Not an ex-library copy. Spine is tight and crisp. Boards are flat and true, and the corners are square. The first few pages have some puckering to the lower right corner, as if from moisture, and the back board has a slight indentation on the upper edge. Dust jacket is not price-clipped and also has a bit of puckering to the lower portions of the front and back covers and on the front jacket flap. Otherwise there is minimal, if any, shelf wear. This collectible, near fine/very good+, first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar dust jacket cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
