Pierre Cailler, Genève., 1969. First edition. Square octavo. pp 29, [1] + 81 plates, several in colour and tipped in. Glossy card wrappers. Includes ''une biographie, une bibliographie et une documentation complète sur le peintre et son oeuvre''. The Belgian figurative artist and illustrator, born Nikolaas Mathijs Eekman, was known variously as Nico Eekman, Nic Eekman and Ekma.Number 6 of fifty de luxe copies with two laid-in original dry-point etchings signed and numbered (''Luxe 6/50'') by the artist. The etchings are in his fantasy-allegorical style which has strong echoes of Rackham's.Front cover slightly creased at bottom corner. Very good indeed. The etchings are in fine state.
