Bound in contemporary brown quarter leather over brown paper-covered boards, gilt spine lettering, 4 raised bands at spine. Good condition. Moderate interior foxing, contents otherwise clean, binding firm; front & rear interior hinge paper beginning to split, but no loosening of front & rear boards at all, hinges quite firm. Reconditioned leather supple & glossy, w/ thin chips across spine ends; gilt spine lettering sharp & bright. vii, 876 pp., 23 numbered fold-out plates in rear, some of them awkwardly folded, and so showing tattered edges, not affecting images themselves at all.
