White's fictional work following the building of an Ark in preparation for a flood. The first UK edition. First published in the U.S by Putnam in 1947. In the original publisher's cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. This work was written by T. H. White and describes the adventures of Mr. White who is visited by an archangel and is warned of the coming of a second flood and is charged with building an Ark. In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart with patches of light discolouration to the boards and edge wear. Remnants of tape to the endpapers with the odd spot to the rear and a past owner's name in ink to the front free endpaper. The wrap is sound with sunning to the spine and extremities, creasing to the extremities, closed tears, chips , slight marks and slight loss to the head and tail of the spine. Evidence of tape to the fly leaves. Internally firmly bound with generally clean and bright pages with the odd spot. Very Good Indeed
