About This Item
New York: Farrar , Straus & Cudahy, 1962. Cloth. Very Good/Very Good. Erik Blegvad. SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR JEAN STAFFORD on the front free endpaper. A solid copy to boot of the 1962 stated 1st printing of this charming tale of Elephi, "the cat with the high I.Q.". Tight and VG (light offsetting at the endpapers and pastedowns) in a crisp, price-intact ($3.50), VG dustjacket, with very light chipping and wear along the tips and the spine ends, a touch of soiling at the rear panel and light offsetting and foxing to the rear flap. A faint paperclip impression as well at the top-edges of the last dozen or so pages. Still though, a very presentable copy. 12mo, wonderfully illustrated thruout by Erik Blegvad.
