Illustrated with a section of black & white photographic reproductions. "Being a chronicle of true sea adventures from the Port of San Francisco." The author, historian, and librarian of The Sutro Librarywas a ubiqutious presence in the San Francisco book scene, as were his beloved, seat of the pants post-card communications to friends and acquaintances.
