Edinburgh: Adam & Charles Black, 1842. General index volume from The Encyclopaedia Britannica, 7th edition. Published in 1842 by Adam and Charles Balck, Edinburgh. Half leather, spine and corners in tan leather, with raised bands on teh spine, gilt lettered title labels to two compartments, gilt decorations to the remaing four compartments, gilt decorated borders to leather edges, Brown cloth boards, and marbled endpapers. Half title, title page, ii, 164 pages. 9 X 11.5 inches. Externally there is overall wear, rubbing and scuffs to the leather, also some stains to leather and cloth boards. Cracking along the upper joint. Binding all firm and sound, inner hinges all solid at the endpapers. Spotting to first and last blank leaves, Text pages all fairly clean throughout.. Seventh Edition. Half-Leather. Good/No Jacket.
