His expedition was to traverse the South Pole, but after their ship the Endurance was crushed by ice, it became a saga of men trying to stay alive in some of the harshest conditions on the planet, and crossing 600 miles of the most dangerous sea on earth in a twenty-two foot boat. It is the only book that ever made me seasick, and it is a true story."
