Final leaf of publisher's ads. ¶ A posthumous work by Sir Jonas Moore (1617-1679), first published in 1697 (with subsequent editions in 1703, 1705 and 1707), a all-purpose guide to numerous aspects of successfully managing a farm and living off the land, including advice on wine-making, brewing, cooking, bee-keeping, land use, raising horses, and fishing. Moore contended that large profits could be made from the brewing of ciders and wines.
