Illustrator: Photographic. 1.45 kg; 352 pages, includes lists of the black-and-white illustrations, editor's afterword to the Jubilee issue, 1984, & to the Folio Society edition, 1997 "with the exception of 8 pictures, all the photographs originally selected by John Hadfield for the Jubilee edition of English Journey have been included in this Folio Society edition. Since the publication of the Jubilee edition in 1984, several of the picture collections have changed hands, and Bill Brandt has died. Details of the current sources for the photographs are given in the list of Illustrations on pp 337-41. Photographic end pages, blind stamped and photographic illustrated front board, photographic illustrated slip case. I can detect no damage to either the book binding or slipcase.
