A survey of English novelists and the English novel from its earliest inception through to the middle part of the 20th century. Rubbing top and bottom edges with light sunning of the panels. Very light age toning of the text block edges and pages. Some insect damage can be seen to the top inner edge of the rear panel. Chipping of the top back strip edge rubbing of all dust wrapper edges. Quiet noticeable sunning of the dustwrapper, particularly of the back strip and rear panel. Light tanning to the verso. Second Edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. bracket, 7 - 47, [1] pages,.
