A prolific writer; most of his books reflect his knowledge of Western Canadian history. This book makes an important contribution to Conservation in Canada. Each of the 43 chapters is an essay on topics such as the importance of planting trees, the multiple use of forest lands, whooping cranes, water conservation, sockeye salmon and others. Black and white photos. Index. A foreword. Dj has colour photo of man in western hat silhouett ed against a red and orange sky. Dj has some scuffs, a large chip, small tears and creases. Dj is in poor cond. but held nicely together with new mylar protector. Binding is gray cloth on boards with black lettering - bright tight and very clean. Endpapers have inscription. Text is bright and clean. Dj: poor, Binding: good, Text: v. good.. F.
