Kiel und Leipzig, Lipsius & Tischer, 1904-1911. 11 parts in two. Large 4to (32.2 x 26.8 cm). 536 pp.; 35 chromolithographed and tinted plates, several text figures. Near contemporary uniform grey buckram with gilt title on the spine. Speckled edges. Original printed front wrappers mounted on front board (first volume), respectively bound in (second volume). = The rare original edition. In 1971 the work was reprinted by J. Cramer on a smaller format and with the plates not coloured. The volume combines the complete parts h 1 to h 11 of Volume III. Part L. All were written by Borgert, except the part on Castellaniidae which is by Wilhelm J. Schmidt, and the first, separately bound part on Aulacanthidae which is by Ferdinand Immermann. Pagination and plate numbering are consecutive. Bookplate on front pastedowns, otherwise a very good, clean set. Nissen ZBI, 4624.
