Previously owned by Richard Vaughan, name and date on title page. Previous owner has hand lettered the spine. 118 figures (three folding) including maps, sketches, diagrams, plans, charts, and 13 plates at the end. Old bookseller description at the back of front cover, with minor pencil underlining and notation. Very good condition. A comprehensive anthropological study and field work reports of prehistoric Eskimo sites in Alaska, 1930s. This book covers a wide range of interesting subjects associated with prehistory Eskimo's life such as cultural contents, burials, pottery, hunting and fishing equipment, and clothing. 1959
