About This Item

Yale University Press. ** 1ST EDITION, 1ST PRINTING ** CLOTH-BOUND HARDCOVER WITH DUSTJACKET (PRICE-CLIPPED) ** CLEAN, STAIN-FREE, UNMARKED ** NOT A LIBRARY BOOK ** Published by Yale University Press, 1969, with 218 pages. Well made book, bound in sturdy cloth-covered boards, with embossed black lettering on the spine. The exterior cloth binding remains almost as crisp and fresh as new. The book itself has only 2 defects: the top front corner of the blank front page has been neatly, diagonally clipped, and the words "Philadelphia November 1973" have been written neatly, discreetly in the gutter of the blank front page. The book has no other flaws. It is exceptionally clean and stain-free, square and straight, quite firm and tight in its binding, and no pages are loose, missing, folded, or torn. The hinges are sound and undamaged, the corners are sharp and unbumped. All pages are clean and stain-free, and all text is sharp and legible. There is no writing, underlining, highlighting, or other such markings in the book. The dustjacket is neatly price-clipped, but is otherwise complete, clean, and stain-free, with slight signs of wear at the jacket corner tips and spine ends, one short, well-closed tear at the top edge of the rear jacket panel near the spine.
