Bound in navy cloth with gilt lettering on spine; blind-stamping on boards. Front hinge cracked, though holding; rear hinge is sturdy, book pockets, rubber stamps on top and bottom paper edges. The textblock is square and the pages are clean. Some pages have minor closed tearing at outer edge. Book, though, handles well and is in good condition. With facsimile of liturgy at rear, including a fold-out of "The John Rylands Papyrus of the Nicene Creed." Mild chipping to spine ends and corners. Slight edgewear. Scarce first edition copy of the famous Hale Lectures presentation of the Ethiopic Liturgy in the English language. $25.00
