Washington, DC: The Library of Congress, (1994)., (1994).. Fine. - Quarto [10-7/8 inches high by 8-1/2 inches wide] softcover, bound in pictorial white wraps with a color illustration on each cover. 4 full-page color illustrations, 2 of them on the inside wraps. Fine.

An illustrated brochure for an exhibition held at the Children's Literature Center of the Library of Congress as part of its celebration of International Children's Book Day 1994. Laid in is a program printed on a sheet of gray paper. On one side the events of the celebration are listed: speeches from staff of the Children's Literature Center and an address by Etienne Delessert, "Realism or Fantasy?", followed by the opening of the exhibition "Of Realism and Fantasy: Etienne Delessert: A Retrospective" and a reception. On the verso is a full-page essay on Delessert and his work. The exhibition toured in Europe, Canada, and elsewhere in the United States before coming to the Library of Congress.
