1962 hardcover in slip case as pictured. A comprehensive history of Etruscan culture as of 1962 based partially on research done by the Swedish Institute and dedicated to King Gustaf Adolf of Sweden. This is a beautifully made volume in nice condition. Binding is firm. White cloth boards with red and gold stamping are lightly age tanned at edges and show minimal shelf wear. Head and tail bands, gilt top. Pictorial endpapers are unmarked. Printed on 130 gram Swedish gravure paper, the text appears clean and unmarked. A few pages are mottled. Includes 45 color plates, 474 b&w photographs, 46 drawings and 22 maps, several of which are fold outs, along with an extensive bibliography. Dust jacket is rubbed and scuffed with small tears and mottling at edges. Slip case is soiled, scuffed and age tanned. Price includes extra mailing charges due to weight.
