Crisp, clean pages with no owners' marks; the dust jacket is absent, and the full cloth hard cover is quite faded along the spine and shows gilt loss, some small blue flecks, a little brown spotting, and a long, pale droplet mark at the lower spine and lower left front, otherwise sound. 260pp. incl. index.
