New York: William Morrow and Company, 1956. First Edition. Hardcover with Dust Jacket. Very Good/Good. A. Baynes (dust jacket). 8vo. Pp. xii, 167. Illustrated with a two-color sketch map and black & white halftone photo reproductions on coated paper. Printed in England. Beige cloth, titles stamped in gilt on the spine: owner signature of Dorothy Guth in pencil on ffep. In the two-color illustrated dust jacket with price $4.00 intact on the front flap: edges chipped, light stains and age toning, spine moderately darkened. Companion to the author's 1955 Within the Taurus, based on journeys made between 1947 and 1954.

Former owner name in pencil on the front free endpaper is that of Dorothy Lobrano Guth, goddaughter of E. B. White, longtime New Yorker staffer and editor of The Letters of E. B. White.

Dust jacket preserved in a clear, removable archival sleeve.
