All page edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Ownership inscriptions to first two blank endpapers. Mild to moderate edgewear to outer leather. Volume sound, solidly very good.
A lovely leather-bound example of this German-language Evangelical hymnbook published by the German Evangelical Synod of the West in St. Charles, Missouri in 1869. An early edition of a volume assembled by founding Synod member Louis E. Nallou, first published in 1862.
