About This Item

London: Hodder and Stoughton, 1976. First edition, first printing. Published by Hodder and Stoughton, London, in 1976. This is a very near fine copy. The dust wrapper is bright, clean and unclipped; there is slight foxing to the inside of the wrapper. The boards are free from chips and marks and the text blocks, while slightly toned, are mostly clean. Overall, this is a very near fine copy of a fine title. Through planning, teamwork and skill, the south-west face of Everest was finally conquered by this mountaineer.
