Original quarter cloth with paper covered boards, title printed in black onto upper cover, 8vo size (8.5 inches tall), pp. 68, illustrated w. two color maps (one being a fold-out), tables and line drawings. Volume covers w. light soil, stains and wear, thin cracks to hinges, text modestly toned but unmarked. From the preface "Frequent requests are being made by settlers, home-seekers, explorers, prospectors, travelers, teachers, scientists, and others, for information as to the physical and economic conditions of the great prairie provinces of the Canadian West. There is no work now in existence to meet this demand..." Ref. Peel 3023.
