Bibliography, Notes and Index. Translated by author and Burton L. Cooper, being the second volume of Asselineau's L'Evolution de Walt Whitman. First American edition. As the author explains in the foreword while the first volume was devoted to the "creation" of Whitman's personality, this volume concentrates the "creation of a book", namely "The leaves of Grass". Old, faded Strand price sticker on front end-paper and previous owner's name on title-page, else a clean, sound, tight and unmarked copy. Very good. .
