New York: Henry Z. Walck, Inc, 1966. First US Edition/First Printing. Hardcover. Poor/Fair. First American Edition stated. In blue boards with gilt to spine. An ex-library copy, well worn and with attendant stamps, pocket to ffep, tape stains and reinforcement to bottoms of boards. Some stains to endpapers and tape/sticker removal scars. Fraying to spine ends. Stains and marks to text. Binding still solid. Jacket is clipped to top and bottom of front flap with tape reinforcement to top and bottom around spine and adjacent panels, and library sticker to top of rear panel and sticker removal scar to bottom of spine. Some other marks and scars. Hans Christian Andersen Medal sticker to front panel. Quite scarce.
