About This Item

Greenwood Press, 1969. Hardcover. Near Fine. First Greenwood reprinting, 1969, of the work originally published in 1860 by Eyre and Spottiswoode, near fine, oversized brown cloth hardcover shows touch of pencil shadow to top corner of front endpaper and some other light shelf and trace wear including a couple of small ink spots at fore edge of beginning of further papers that is from the original, otherwise tight and unmarked. 64 pages followed by a number of maps including a full page foldout and then followed by another 75 pages of further papers with additional maps including a foldout. Still a pleasing copy of this reprinting of the noted work from the legenedary geographer-explorer presented to the British Parliament by Her Majesty in 1859.
