Benett, I; Philippoteaux, P. xx, 432pp, 32 pages of publisher's adverts; numerous black and white engraved illustration and map plates. Red cloth-covered boards; gilt and black design on front and spine, gilt titles on front and spine; all edges gilt; black endpapers. 8vo. A large and heavy volume requiring an additional charge for overseas delivery. Sun-faded spine, Rubbed spine ends, cloth torn in places. Hinges cracked and straining. Small loss to top corner of front free endpaper. Previous owner's name on half-title page. Gutter stretched in places, a couple of signature partly detached. Internally neat, clean and bright; barring occasional foxing. Illustrated by I. Benett and P. Philippoteaux with numerous maps and illustrations.
